Bill Kramer to seek reelection to State Assembly
Lifelong Waukeshan, taxpayer advocate seeks to continue work on behalf of Waukesha, job creators

Waukesha, WI – Today, lifelong Waukesha resident Bill Kramer announced his intention to seek reelection to the Wisconsin State Assembly in the fall of 2010.

Kramer, a Certified Financial Planner © and Duke University School of Law graduate, was first elected to the State Assembly in 2006. He is Owner and President of Kramer Financial Management, a financial services firm specializing in helping families and seniors with their long-term financial planning needs.

In the Assembly, Kramer has led efforts to repeal the state’s Minimum Markup Law and to create a more accountable, transparent government. Additionally, he has led efforts at wholesale state budgeting reform that includes a state spending website and bureaucracy accountability measures.

He has worked with State Representatives Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa), Brett Davis (R-Oregon), and Rich Zipperer (R-Pewaukee) to introduce a Taxpayers First Agenda that would systematically change state budgeting practices and begin to immediately address the state’s long-running budget deficit.

On his reelection effort, Bill Kramer remarked:

“I have always been honored to enjoy the support of so many residents of Waukesha. This is a community I grew up in, went to school in, and have lived in nearly all my life. There is no better place in Wisconsin to live in, raise a family in and in which to start a business."

“This is a very difficult economy for too many families and small businesses in our community. Unfortunately, the solutions that the Democrat majorities in the Senate and Assembly and cheered for by Governor Doyle have only exacerbated those challenges. They have sought to raise taxes by $5 billion dollars and have failed to put people in Waukesha back to work."

“My efforts have been, and will continue to be, focused on job creation and reining in government spending. Difficult choices lay ahead for state government, and I will remain committed to protecting our communities’ taxpayers, families, and small businesses.”
